Wozo Haiti is a locally developed, national organization which aims to generate positive social change and conflict reduction through trauma healing and community empowerment.   HDPI supports this program through partnerships, with the implementing and donor agency Episcopal Relief and Development (ERD), that respects local program ownership and management and that provides support by mentoring, accompaniment, technical inputs, helping with resource mobilization and capacity building.

The Wozo Haiti initiative was created locally after the earthquake in response to the resilience and recovery needs of individuals, groups and institutions.  The program was built on a unique philosophy that broader social transformation is most effectively achieved by beginning with individual transformation in understanding, empowered through community problem-solving groups sharing similar understanding and commitments to work together for a more peaceful, healthy society.
