Shirati Hospital, Tanzania
Training Sessions - November 9-14 2021
HDPI, with Friends of Shirati, supports the development of a program for local persons living with mental conditions and syndromes.
The program included,three days of interaction and training for Shirati hospital staff and community members. The sessions focused on tools to change perceptions around persons who live with these conditions.
Following a two day training with Nils Kastberg as instructor, more than 100 children with mental conditions and syndromes such as autism, down syndrome, and cerebral palsy, participated in an interactive day of developmental activities, hosted by Friends of Shirati and Shirati Hospital.
